Word of Life Bible Institute Yearbook 1995

Students often get entangled in monotonous sched ules, and soon get restless and yearn for added spice to their life. Being situated in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains does not help, as often students feel lost in the “wilderness”. Word of Life is well aware of these feelings, and do their best to provide special events for students to look forward to as a time of fun in an innocent way. Throughout the year there are various banquets where students dress formally and often go with special dates. There are also conferences, such as the Missions conference, and Founders Week conference. On top of all of this, Word of Life tries to provide entertainment on weekends during the Fall and Spring quarters. The Family Campground is always open, and students may venture over there to enjoy a game of pool, or air hockey, or just talk around the fire. Other forms of entertainment were a carnival where various games and activities were set up, including a “kissing” booth. The Little Rascals movies were played one night in the dining hall annex, and students enjoyed free soda and popcorn as they watched the films in delight. It is necessary to stick to a schedule if anything is ever going to be accomplished, but it is always re freshing to take a break and try something new once in a while. These special events give students a break from their hectic schedules, and something to look forward to.
