Founder’s week was not a time to glamorize on how famous Jack Wyrtzen is and all the prominent people he knows. Harry Bollback was not boasted about for tram pling through the jungles of South America with a worm in his head. Nor, did it flaunt the ministries of George Theis and Joe Jordan in Brazil and Argentina. It was a time to reflect and salt our tongues with the love for their Master and Savior that constrained them to be faithful servants of Him. They boldly went forth in the power and humility of the King. Lehman Strauss, Stanley Toussaint, Harry Bollback, George Theis, Joe Jordan, and Charles Ryrie explained the riches of Jesus’ life and ministry. They taught from His majestic person, His miraculous power, His moral purity, His men’s preparation, and His mystery parables. The conference ended with a detailed exegesis of His meditorial passion shared by Charles Ryrie. A challenge brought out by Lehman Strauss was to pray that he would finish well. Jesus Christ signified that He had accomplished God’s purpose on earth. Paul announced that he “finished his course”. May we accom plish what God wants for us. May our prayer be that we strive to finish well!
