Jesus.: Beheld the Mcm
■
Bringing the story of Christ alive... For many years, Word of Life’s Easter production was The Passion Play. However, last year, the lead ership of Gospel Productions decided to rework the production. The end result was Jesus, Behold the Man. Students of both Bible Institutes as well as several staff members, helped bring the story of Jesus Christ alive; His life, death, resurrection from the dead, in music and drama. It featured some very powerful scenes such as the temptation of Jesus Christ, Lazarus being raised from the dead and Jesus Christ Himself arising from the dead. The production culminated with the ascension of Christ.
Jesus, Behold the Man has made such an impact on my life. Portraying the life of Christ, walking through His miracles and walking through the last week of his life, it has made the Gos pels so clear to me and to just see who Jesus really was. I had the privilege of playing the role of an elder in the Sanhedrin and to portray some of the mocking and the ridicule our Lord went through for us. I want my life to be an example of Jesus’ final words to us, "Go into all the world and share the Gospel.” What a mighty God we serve! -Chase Sweeting-
