United States Open Air Evangelsim

vJoing into OAE thinking that it was going to be an easy ten days was a big mistake, especially when your leaders tell you that they "will make you feel uncomfortable.” Del and MaryAnn Benner had a passion that eight God-provided men would come under their wings and learn how to publicly evangelize, and that is exactly what we did. We started in Queens, NY and then went to Harrisburg, PA; Silver Springs, MD; Philadelphia, PA; and then to Atlantic City and Trenton, NJ. We had a common goal of talking to people and sharing the love of Christ. It was amazing to see God’s provision and planning on this trip from the team members on it to the souls saved, and all ten of us had an absolute blast. Every guy on the team brought something different to the table in terms of our speech ability, our humor, and even our encouragement. I think I can speak for everyone, when I say that this trip has showed us how to make evangelism a way of life and that is the most important part. To God be all the Glory!

.v. .tfpGpf** Local Church Ministry had the privilege of spending time with three Area Missionaries on my trip to Georgia. Most of my time was spent with Scott Gentry, but I also spent time with Brent Finchum and David Livingston. Each of them had a separate perspective on the Word of Life ministry which was very valuable to me. God really showed through Scott how no matter what people may think your limitations are, you can still have a ministry and a vibrant one at that.

Through Brent, God showed me He will use me the way that I am and don’t have to be someone else except for who God has made me to be. Through David, who is recovering from cancer, I saw God’s faithfulness and His sovereign plan being worked out in a life. The trip was very valuable to me and I thank God for the opportunity He gave to me to be a part of it. -Nathan Jenks
