Word of Life Bible Institute Yearbook 1992

I was really excited when I found out I was chosen to be on the 1992 WOLBI Yearbook Staff because I had loved yearbook in High School and thought it would be fun. After finding out there was only four of us I got a little nervous, but thought it would still be all right. After fall quarter I soon found out it required much time. I was definitely not prepared for all God had to teach me through the putting to gether of this yearbook, but by His wonderful grace it is done. Through patience, perserver- ance, and prayer I am happy to say I was a part in making this yearbook. -Kristen Shelford Jeremiah 33:3

Yearbook. Any of you who have participated in this before know it comes with many responsibilities, frustrations, long hours, and deadlines! All of these things counted, however, I can honestly say I’ve really enjoyed being a part of the 1992 Open Door staff. Miss Blueberry, Mitchell, and Toad — you guys have been great to work with! I appreciate your ability to find the light side of everything. I know I speak for the entire staff in saying that our prayer as you pull this book out over the years is that you are reminded not only of our very distinctly different year at WOLBI, but also the call of God on our lives to live distinctly different lives before this world. May you take all you’ve learned from this year and use it to have a distinctly different commitment to our Saviour — far above the “norm” of Christianity in America today. “Grace to all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love.”

(Ephesians 6:24) -Jenny Cartwright

We hope you thoroughly enjoyed this year’s book. Al though it took many long hours of hard work, I hope you agree with me, that in the end it was all worth it. A special thanks to Toad, A.C., and Blueberry, without your help and friendship this book would’ve never been finished, nor would it have been so fun to do! Our prayer is that as you look through this book of great memories you will also remember the great God that made it all possible. May He be your constant guide in your future ministries, and may we all keep our focus on Jesus Christ as Paul demonstrated in Philippians 3:14 “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” -Michelle Park

What counts is a new' creation. It’s been a privilege being pho tographer for the 1992 yearbook. Some of the lessons I’ve learned while fulfilling this role will help me through the rest of my life. Our theme, “A Distinct Difference,” I feel is most ap propriate in this day of Christian compromise and apathy. If I could leave a challenge with each member of the WOLBI class of ’92 it would be Galatians 6:15b, What counts is a new creation. As the materialistic values and warped morals of this world attack from all around you, remember that this will all pass away, but, What counts is a new creation in Christ. A special thanks to Art Tullberg, David Burch, and to all who so willingly contributed time and pictures to make this yearbook

what it is. -Todd Hill
