Snow Camp

It’s Friday, winter quarter, classes are just about to end, a nervous excitement fills the air. In just two short hours the campus will be overflowing with hundreds of exhuberant teenagers waiting to have the ultimate camping experience at Word of Life Snow Camp. After class ends the counsellors for the weekend rush back to their dorms to finish packing, and gert those last precious moments of sleep before a rigorous weekend. In three short days they will endure a whole range of activities from sporting events, to rallies, to hayrides, and who could forget those rousing Snow Camp meals? More importantly though, is the fact that they will get the chance to apply all they have been learning in their classes. Times of prayer and witnessing opportunities flood the weekend’s events. Finally, Sunday afternoon arrives, counsellors slowly make their way to the evening service praising God for the blessings of the weekend and looking forward to “lights out”! -Michelle Park
