Psalm 3 0 : 1 1 - 1 2 “Music is a way oflife here at Word ofLife’,’said Jayme McCormick, the sound tech for the Praise teams in Florida. How right he is! Word of Life believes in nurturing the talents God has given you and forming them into ministry opportunities. They see the gifts that the students have and then put them on ministry teams to best help these gifts grow. If music is your gift, then a music ministry team is the way to go. There are four teams at Word of Life Florida that focus on musical ministry; two Praise teams, a Word of Life Ensemble and the Collegians. The four different teams have very different ministries but give all they can for the glory of God. Both Praise teams, Chapel Praise Team and Focus Praise Team, focus on leading people into worship and it has been a privilege to listen to them in the many chapels at Word of Life. The Word of Life Ensemble is a seven-singer team that travels to schools and churches on the East Coast. They worship Christ with the gift of song and present the gospel wherever they go. The Collegians are a larger group. Word of Life puts on two productions through the year and these are made possible by the Collegians. The Collegians are the actors H ^ and singers for these two productions and spend many hours practicing for the task of presenting the gospel through shows. • • I have had the privilege of being a part the Ensemble and Collegians, and my » ^ —<Mfll'■' 1. outlook on music ministry will never be ^ r-~ — ^ - the same.
