Lady's S occcr I was privileged to be captain along with Rachel Farrar this year; I also played center mid most games but was moved to different positions as needed. Although our scores this year weren’t really worth talking about, the ministry opportunities exceeded our dreams. We were allowed to pray after each game and the gospel was shared on three different occasions. For the teams that traveled quite a distance, we invited them to eat dinner with us. We became friends with many of the girls and our ministry has continued on past the field. As I approached the season, I came with the view that soccer was all about how well I played and the goals that we were to get. But I quickly came to realize that my attitude during and after the game outweighed my abilities, and that is how I was to bring God glory. To sum this soccer session up in one word I would say, “difficult!’Overall, though, I’d say that we were a very persistent team. Through all our injuries and many times not even having enough girls to play, we never let our countenance be lost. We knew that the Lord was the One to work through us no matter what happened. ~ Sarah Donley
