a theme at Word of Life this year was “Legacy We are all ingto leave a legacybehind, whether it is one ofgood and grandeur or mediocre and sad. It is our choice to which kind of legacywe wouldliketo leave in the wake ofour lives. Much ofour impact comes fromthe peoplewe follow, and luckilywe have the privilege to walk in the footsteps ofgreat men and women. This year at Founders Conference, we were able to commemorate and remember the lives ofpeople like Jack Wyrtzen and Sophie Muller. With visitingalumni, and students included, we also had the privilege ofseeing two more people, who had dedicated their lives to doing the Lords work, inducted into the Hall of Fame; MargeWyrtzen and Bill Price. The entire weekend reallybrought the end of the year to a perfect close, tying in the yeafrs theme of leaving a mark on the world for the cause of Christ For the alumni, the weekendwas filledwith fun activities, on the various campgrounds, rememberingtheir own time here. This alsogave some ofthe ministry teams an opportunity to serve for the last time, helping with meals and childcare. The Collegians also had the privilege ofsinging and serving together for the last time before they go their own ways for the summer. It was a moving and motivatingweekend, remindingus that Godequips us all for thejobHeintends forus. Itmay seem dauntinggoingoffcampus into the world where you aren’t surrounded by Christians, but it was encouraging to hear that we don’t have to blend in with the crowd. We can stand up for Christ and have courage in the gospel. Having great speakers like Paige Patterson, Robert Jefifess, Harry Bollback, and Joe Jordan really challenged us to trust inthe truth ofGocfegoodand faithful promises as Hecarried out His own ministry through our lives. As Harry Bollback said during this year's conference, “God knows the way through the wilderness, youjust have to follow?
