m ark 1:17-18 ‘And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after , and Iwill make youtobecome fishers ofmen. And straightway they forsook their nets, and followed him’. The greatest will God has for our lives is to preach His gospel to the ends ofthe earth. He has called every Christian to drop their nets and followHim so that they can be missionaries to the world, orintheirownbackyard. TheMissionsConferencethis year challenged us to live abovethe temptations ofthe world, pray fervently for the harvest, and in a selflessly ambitious manner, tocarryoutthewillofGodinourlives. With fantastic speakers such as George Murray Kris Stout, Harry Bollback, Joe Jordan, Don Lough, Jr., and Mike Laymon, many ofthe students were inspired to further their efforts in pursuing the call of Christ to evangelize. First year student, Kristin Anderson said that the conference showed her how “ . it is just as important to be sharing the gospel here as it is to be sharing it in other countries’.' From dynamic sermons to the International Concert and even Harry Bollback wrestling an Indian from Brazil, the weekend was packed with a cultural fusion, mixing students firm Canada and New 'fork, to energize our thirst to serve Christ After sitting through the Missions Conference, first year student BJ Jahnigen stated emphaticallythat “Itmakes me soexcitedaboutthe ministry Godhas formy life’.Given a new perspective and drive, many students dedicated their lives to the will of God, letting Him have reign over the future ofwhich He calls us to.
