A Time to Give Thanks
The day began as any typical Thanks giving at home would. Five hundred students filed into Council Hall (casual dress!) to take an exam. Then the brave, conditioned runners and walkers hit the track for the jog-a-thon. By late morning the track had emptied of most of the participants and the football field began filling up with navy-jersey clad SYM girls and colorfully-yet-warmly dressed BI girls. The ground lacked the usually present snow but it was moist enough to allow a bit of mud to collect on players' clothes. The BI girls easily beat the SYM girls with a score of 14-0 thanks to an excellent running game on the part of the BI girls. Mr. Schenke, Mr. Gower, and Mr. Hobbs even got into the action as referees. Once the girls cleared off the field the BI Bad Boys and the SYM team hit the field. The score stayed tied at 7 until over time when SYM scored a touchdown in 2 plays, (cont'd on pg. 103)
