A T ime W e all know that February is a romantic month: powdery white snow covers the ground, temperatures dip down below 0°, guys become gentlemen overnight to offer their arms to sliding girls. Even once the snow turns to slush, the guys remain gentlemen. The climax to all of this sickening mushiness is the Val entine's Banquet. The night the girls S end 6 hours to look beautiful for their ites and the guys rush to the shower after playing basketball all day. The decorations committee plus a few kind volunteers spent the day brainstorming and decorating and being creative-as- they-went-along to transform the field- house and student lounge into red and white wonderlands, complete with ga zebo. From the curtains at the windows to the teddy bears in the basketball hoop; from the kissing booth to the lollipop game; from the special music by Andrew Wilson to Larry's presen tation of a rose to Yongmee; the eve ning was full of romance. — Barb Iverson
