Say Good-Bye As I reflect on the meaning of this yearbook and the value of this theme, I would like to dedicate my part of this book to some of the most wonderful people in our lives. The people who stood by us in hard times as well as in easy times. They wiped our tears when we cried. They comforted us in our sorrow and rejoiced with us in our victories. Not many people on earth can compare to them in our lives, for they know us so well and still love us. In God's wisdom, in God's perfect way, He gave us Friends But because of all we have shared and all we have done, made us not just friends but family. When I think of my friends, my mind seems to fill up with memories: Yearbook at 2 in the morning, split rock, tire swinging, Pepsi, banquets, v-ball, vasoline door knobs, cows, the diner, OAC, "Be Bop a Lula," Jogging, Troy's unforgettable softball game — he did it for Brian! — the poodle, Friendly's, Canada, Joe Joe the dogface boy, and so many more. As you look through this yearbook, we hope that we have captured some of the memories you have shared with your friends this year. A special thanks to these friends: Jen & Barb (Hope you enjoyed the Hot Chocolate), Jennie Fraker, Tammie Lowe, Kathy Enger, and Trena Thomas (Europe Room 18), Shannon Lewis, Shauna Paton, Dave Wyman (and the tank), Troy Watson, Ben and John Colston, Laurie Rogers, Dave Austin (my WV buddy), and Cindy Faulkner. I love you guys! — Cindy Bosley #Art Editor Well, here it is: the product of our brainstorming, frustration, and joy; and of your memories. I hope this book stirs up fond memories in your mind as you turn its pages. There are several people I would like to thank for their help in making this book possible: -Mr. Tim Botts: Thank you so much for your creative talent and generosity in doing the cover lettering for us. -Jen: Can you believe it's done? Our work has paid off. We worked as well together as we thought we did after all. -Cindy: What can I say but — Thanks for the hot chocolate. You were a great asset to us. -Mr. Sampley: Thank you for taking care of the technical stuff so we didn't have to bother with it. -Kelli: Thanks for being there when I was so stressed-out over deadlines and everything else. -Thank you to everyone who came up to the Welcome Center at one time or another to keep us company, help us write copy, look at pictures or keep us from going insane. -Finally, thank you especially to Amy and Deb, our Taylor reps. Deb — you got us going and Amy — you helped us finish it off. Thank you both for your patience and advice. To the Class of 1991 — can you believe the year is over? So much has been accomplished, the Lord has been so good. I hope and pray that all of us keep our eyes focused on the Lord and Creator and that we never forget to praise His Holy Name. My verse to leave you with: "For I know the plans I have for you says the LORD. They are plans for good. . .to give you a future and a hope." Jer. 29:11. Some of you I will see again on this earth. For those I do not: God bless you and we'll meet again in Heaven. — Barb Iverson #Co-Editor The Yearbook is almost completed. It's unbelievable. We've worked hard, put in many hours, slaved over the computer many weekends, and I feel like I'll be bored when this is done. But I love starting with nothing — nothing but 152 blank pages, and an empty cover — and creating a book of memories. The memories of 500+ students. I hope you will somehow sense my feeling of accomplishment as you look through this book. There were so many contributors to this book, it would be hard to thank them all, but here goes: Mr. Sampley, our Advisor — thanks for being such a big help! -Chris Miller — thanks for all the computer help (the mouse still doesn't work!). -Amy & Deb — you guys were so helpful — I don't know now to thank you. -Our photograghers — Troy, Ben, Keith, and Paul — we couldn't have done it without you! -Barb — we think so much alike it's scary! I'm really glad we got to work together this year. I'll think of you whenever I see a paper clip! — Cindy — hot chocolate will forever bring fond memories — and cows, ana diners — thanks for being so willing. To those of you who kept me from going insane: -Mike Mercaldo — thanks for all the visits — it was fun! -Jim Benim — wanna write some more copy? -Jason Dusold — get your stupid banquet stuff outa here! -Krist — thanks for going insane with me! We built many memories this year that aren't in this book, and many friendships have been formed and have grown. We've learned a lot — inside and outside the classroom. We've been stretched to (and past) our limit in many ways. We've grown to love Jesus Christ more and more as we've begun to learn more of the extent of His love for us. This year (or two) at WOL has been many things, but I think that generally, it has been a time to keep. — Jennifer Hale #Co-Editor
