DEVELOPMENT Arriving in style

Four lucky couples enjoyed a special start to a magical night, arriving at the Senior Ball in chauffeur-driven luxury cars courtesy of lead sponsor Archibalds.

A lot of work goes into creating an event like the Senior Ball but, as one of the highlights of the year, it is all worth it. To help offset some of the costs involved, the sponsorship committee – Year 12 students Dominic Edmond and William Koko, and Year 13 student Max Heywood – put together what they hoped would be an irresistible sponsorship opportunity. The response was beyond their expectations. “It’s a big expense to run such a fantastic event, so we thought it would be awesome to have Archibalds on board. Archibalds was our first choice for lead sponsor as they work so well with us in other areas of College life,” says William. The boys created a sponsorship proposal and arranged to meet Archibalds Group Marketing Manager Shelley Gayford and Jaguar, Land Rover and Volvo Sales Manager Darren Griffith.

“It was such a good experience, a rare opportunity to work out all the different details and put together a proper sponsorship pitch,” says Max. After the deal was done and terms agreed, Archibalds made a totally unexpected offer to make four luxury cars available to

drive the boys and their partners to the ball. Naturally, the boys were thrilled to accept – and extended the invitation to Year 13 student Matias Biraben-Clough, who organised decorations. Thank you, Archibalds, for your “drive” and support of another outstanding College event.
