Word of Life Bible Institute Yearbook 2004

there is one word that would describe ie soccer team this year, it would be . I was able to see that the team, in unity together in their focus and and in their personal walks with Christ. God was faithful in allowing us to see people trust Christ as their only way to heaven. I learned so much from the guys, just seeing their passion to share Christ and help other Christians encour aged my walk so much. We were willing to let God mold our lives based upon His Word. That isgrowth and it is awesome!

Ben James gets himself ready to play goalie by making funny faces and acting crazy. Everyone has their own pre-game traditions.

Uae-Rp- team lines up for the singing of National Anthem at one of their games.

>re a game the team gathers to talk about strategy and to focus their minds on their purpose for playing.

I had the privilege of being a part of the soccer team this year. I was blessed by the opportunity to combine a love for soccer with God’s love and thereby reach a variety of people with whom 1 only had soccer in common. God has shown me through this ministry how to take every area of my life and use it to reach people for 1lim. I’ve seen 1lim work in amazing ways as we reached soccer teams of area colleges, Ray Brook Prison, Brooklyn and the Bronx, and even Australia in fulfillment of the Acts 1:8 commission. The soc cer team was truly a blessing to me as 1worked with Coach Warkin and other like-minded ath letes to share the love of Christ through a love of soccer.
