A World of Difference If it were possible to compound the ministry of Word of Life into one word, it would be faithfulness...the faithfulness of God as He has blessed and multiplied the ministry, and the faithfulness of fellow believers who have prayed and given of their time and monies. Jack Wyrtzen captured the essence of faithfulness by saying, “Only one life, ‘twill soon be past; only whats done for Christ will last.” It all started with a few men, they would meet in Jack Wyrtzen s home each week to study the Bible and pray. These men prayed that God would use there lives to reach their surrounding area, but God saw fit that their faithfulness would reach around the globe. Now with evangelism rallies, musical drama presentations, Christian camping for every age, Bible clubs in local churches, misson outreaches in over 46 countries, and Bible Institutes training young men and women to serve God around the world, one would think that we would consider ourselves victorious, but God is not finished yet. Jack Wyrtzen, Harry Bollback, George Theis, and Joe Jordan are names heard often around Word of Life. These men have one thing in common, their drive to see the youth of the world come to Christ and to train them in a way that they can in turn lead the next generation to the Lord. The goal of Word of Life in the beginning was to evangelize the world; 70 years later it is a goal not forgotten. The efforts of the faithful men and women who have given open-heartedly to this fellowship in money, time, and life have made it what it is today, victorious in Christ.
