HARD WORK For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.” -II Timothy 1:7 BEACTIVE STRIVE TO WORK AS ONE TO ACHIEVE SUCCESS The Word of Life basketball teams had an amazing variety of awesome opportunities to minister using their God-given talents and abilities for His glory. The players come from all different walks of life, world wide. They play hard while on the court, but the real test is howthey will perform after during their time of witness to the opposing teams. Besides kickin it on the courts locally, these vibrant young men and women were able to scower the streets of NewYork City street witnessing. Throughout the week they were not only able to play some b-ball for the pure joy of the game, they also able to see a large number of people come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. The guys in the basketball team also had the unique opportunity to participate in a fewgames at the local prison, getting into the lives of the inmates through the avenue of sports. All in all, the sports ministry here at Word of Life Bible Institute has allowedthe team members not only to grow in physical strength, but to rely on God for the ultimate power to walk faithfully. Learning comes fromall different areas of your life, this year the teams sawthat it even comes from basketball.
