THE GOOD THINGS IN LIFE COME WITH HARD WORK

WRAP HER UP Christy Page shows her RTE class the approbate way to bandage an accident victim. Rachael Ziegler smiles despite her obvious pain.

From collecting garbage to cleaning dishes to scrubbing toilets to preparing food to aerobics to extreme workouts to weight lifting, work assignments and Physical Education are everywhere you look on the WOLBI campus. Work Assignments provide students the opportunity to serve God by serving others. Some students use skills they have previously acquired, while others start from scratch and learn as they go. Team work and good work ethic, that's what work assignment teaches. It's about doing a job to benefit others, not yourself. Work assignments encourage students to be effecient and productive, to accomplish the task at hand quickly and correctly. Phys. Ed. enables students to get a good work out at least once a week. Students have a variety to choose from, including rock climbing, tennis, and horseback riding. These classes help students experience new and different athletic activities while introducing them to more students with common interests.

ZOOM IN, ZOOM OUT Taping classes for use on the intranet is one of the tech activities Joel Foster enjoys most. The tech team made it possible to make up classes in the comforts of one’s dorm room.
