THE GORE GROUP Nothing says snow like the slopes. This WOLBI group enjoy the beauty of the adirandacks at Gore Mountain. SKI SLOPES La Nae Gainer shows perfect form as she skis down one of Gore Mountain's many hills. Many students enjoyed skiing during their Monday off.
WHEN THE SNOW FALLS, THE FUN BEGINS
GORE MOUNTAIN Working at Gore Mtn. was a great opportunity to be a Christian testimony doing something we love to do. We were able to develop relationships with unsaved co workers and they saw a difference in the way we lived our lives and the way we handled and reacted to situations. Many people asked us what brought us to the area which opened doors to telling about Word of Life, what we learn here, and sharing our testimonies. It was great to be able to reach out to the community not from obligation but with every day activities. -Carissa Faulkenberg
You know who they are, they are a little odd. They like cold, they get up early on Monday mornings, they dance when it snows ( a figurative phrase referring to mirth and rejoicing), and they examine ice
crystals. They are the snow sliders or skiers and snowboarders. At a school in the Adirondacks you expect to find some loyal snow-lovers and WOLBI is no exception. A small jump was built that provided hours of entertainment, photo opportunities, and broken eyeglasses. We had the chance to get some air, relieve stress, and props to all you guys who got inverted this year! On Mondays, Gore and Whiteface have been a blast despite the -75 degree cold and frostbite. The sun shone and the sky was blue and we all come back to school happy and tired. Gore always kept us busy and filled us with memories; it's been a great season and I can't wait till the snow flies again!
