WORD OF LIFE BIBLE INSTITUTE

HAIKU, HAWAII

"Keep a tender heart toward the Lord, by spending time by the cross every day"

The great thing about Word of Life Bible Institute is the wide range of students that attend. Besides our common bond in the Lord Jesus Christ, no two students are alike. Many students at Word of Life had to leave something that was of great importance to them, such is the case with second year student, Craig Maisonville. The August before his first year at Word of Life Bible Institute, Craig, his wife and four children sold their house in Hawaii and moved to Pottersville, leaving behind a small church he had pastered for eight years prior to the move. Some would have described Craig as a "surfer dude" from Hawaii. He trusted Christ in that state and pastored a small church in Hawaii for eight years before coming to WOLBI. Mr. Maisonville had no formal Bible training, before the Bible Institute. "I knew about the Bible, Word of Life helped me put it all in order," says Craig about what he has learned while attending his first year. After his second year is complete the Maisonville's are not sure what their next step will be "we're considering everything, every aspect of discipleship and ministry."

katiekittiko ATLANTA, GEORGIA

Katie originally found out about the Word of Life Bible Institute at summer camp. In her tenth grade year she felt a strong calling by God that she should attend the school for a year. After much prayer and two years, Katie arrived at WOLBI Florida. She came into the year seeing it as an amazing opportunity to grow spiritually and also develop strong Christian friendships that would last for a lifetime. If there is one lesson that she has learned throughout this year of study it is that God can use you in spite of your weaknesses and there is power in prayer. She enjoys many things, from riding horses to cats. She used to have a three-legged cat named Socks. One adventure Katie would love to have the opportunity to experience is a missions trip. She has never been out of the United States or even West of Missouri. If she ever was given the opportunity, she would love to minister in Romania. Her life verse is Psalm 51:10-12 which is a constant reminder to her to keep the joy of her salvation. She knows that by continuing in her walk beside Jesus she is, "setting her mind on things above..."

"I love you guys, thanks for a great year! Don't let fear hold you back from accomplishing great things for Christ."

Ministries of Word of Life reach people in many ways. Some students of the Bible Institute first heard about the school by attending summer camp, such is the case with Florida student, Katie Kittiko. Katie was born and raised in Atlanta, GA with her parents, brother and sister. Her family went through a challenge when her older brother, Eric passed away in 1999. They always trusted God to hold them in His arms.

BEAUTIFUL DAY Katie and her RA pose in front of some of the lovely scenery which is characteristic of the Florida WOLBI campus.
