It's a privelege to sit under so many great men of God injust one year. So much can be learned from the guest lecturers and full time professors in the first year program at WOLBI. Rarely do people have the opportunity to devote an entire year to the study of solely Bible. The first year class studies the Bible all the way through in three different areas: Bible Survey, Theology, and Specialized Book Studies done by various Guest Lecturers. Dr. Tom Davis and Mr. Marshall Wicks, who are WOLBI faculty, teach Bible Survey and Theology throughout the year. Both of these men are very knowledgable in the Word of God. They encourage students to dig deeper into the Bible and to apply it in all that each of them may endeavor to do in their lives. They always enjoy sharing personal stories with students to promote curiosity within the classroom. Guest lecturers give the students a new taste of teaching methods almost every week. From lecturers of practical application such as Rev. Phil Moser and Dr. Ray Pritchard to men of vast knowledge like Dr. John Whitcomb, Dr. Tom Taylor, and Dr. Charles Ryrie. There is never a shortage of facts to be learned and applied. First year is an opportunity to absorb so much knowledge and to grow closer to God every single day. It's a time of maturing and rededication. Students come together and unite under God, our Creator, to learn as much as possible in one year of intense Bible study. Many times, students learn things that they didn’t even realize would be beneficial for knowledge.
