Womens Basketball
I love being on the basketball team because we all work together as a team even though we all come from different backgrounds.
From Brazil to New Brunswick, the Body of Christ was in action this year on the Word of Life Lady Huskies basketball team. Though the team members all had very different backgrounds, personalities and styles of play, they quickly learned to work together. Whether it be early team-building exercises on the low ropes course in the woods, a tournament in Washington, D.C., or trips to Chile and New York City, the girls learned not only how to reach the unsaved but also how to build each other up. In I Corinthians 12, the Apostle Paul talks about the Body of Christ using each member effectively so the Body will function well. In a similar way, the ladies’ basketball team learned to use its diversity in a constructive way. The team was always working to encourage, and through God’s power, this season thirteen girls became the Word of Life Bible Institute Lady Huskies basketball team.
