Two Worlds Collide
m
Joint-Campus Ministry
A unique relationship exists between the New York and Florida campuses. Twice every year, nearly 100 members of New York’s First Year travel to Florida. These members of the Collegians and Drama Team load on the Word of Life bus and travel over 24 hours to reach the Bible Institute Campus in Hudson, Florida. There, they merge with the students on the Florida campus to form the cast and crew for Gospel Productions’ presentations of The Sights and Sounds of Christmas and the brand new Easter play Jesus, Behold the Man. The two campuses have spent weeks practicing separately, then have a few days of intense, seemingly non-stop practices in order to make the performance come together. They learn to work hand in hand with people that they would have under no other circumstances met. Patience and encouragement become key, and they learn to function together as the Body of Christ. It is a one-of-a-kind ministry experience to say the least. Students from both campuses form friendships that last for a lifetime and walk away having changed the lives of many, but most importantly, having changed each other.
“My favorite part was seeing how as collegians and staff we all grew : closer together and thru that we grew closer to God. I saw first hand how people's lives were being changed. As we were portraying the life o Christ on stage it began to change the way we lived and thought off stage as well. ” [ -Nikki Greei: Above: Jacob Smith, Sean Langille, Nikki Green, and Timothy Potts quick icture. ose a
