Tis the Season
Sights & Sounds of Christmas
It seems like not too long ago that we were feverishly trying to collect our belongings to unload the bus in Hudson, Florida. After 26 hours of games, endless singing, chatting, movies, intermittent naps, and laughter we arrived at last, all in mixed fashions: relieved, anxious, tired, and curious. I can recall practice the first night, learning new steps and music with strangers who, by the end, would be closest of friends. The Sights and Sounds of Christmas was more than a production or large scale performance, but a turning point for souls without a Savior. I can remember Just As I Am reverberating in the midst of the low lights as the moment came when so many took that first step of faith. A step that would change their lives forever. A range of emotions was revealed those days and nights as we shared the gift of our Savior, Jesus Christ. We saw prayers answered and people saved! Who knew the gift we could share would reach so many? After the hours of practice, layers of make-up, costume changes, and critiques, look at the yield of the harvest! The season was fruitful and harvest plentiful. Take a minute and look back upon the Lord’s flawless timing and how He chose to use each of us in His perfect plan. Written by Jeppe Nelson
