The courses offered in Second Year give students an opportunity to build on the knowledge they gained during their First Year. Courses branch from the Biblical knowledge and basics emphasized in First Year and dive into ministry, leadership, and application in life. Students are taught how to study the Bible more effectively, to have greater impact in leadership, and to become men and women of God. They study prophecy and more “difficult” books of the Bible as well as learn how to evangelize to a wide range of religions. They are also taught how to better their speaking abilities, men through Homiletics taught by John Cartwright and women through Public Speaking, taught by Mrs. Betsy Wyrtzen Oris. In the Spring, Second Year students participate in Missions Reality, a 10 day missions trip designed to help them experience life as a missionary and to practice an attitude of service. All in all, students leave Second Year with a better understanding of ministry and life and how to reach the world for Christ.
