A s a chi ld, Dr. Marshall W ikc s remembers al ways going to church - and not just his church. If there was a church open, whether they were holding • a service or hosti ng a r evi val me et ing , his family was there. Once a teenager, however, he soon rebelled against God. Turning his back on God, he chose to leave his home and family. When Dr. W i kc s was 20 years old, however, his f ather led him to the Lord. After moving back home, he began to teach Sunday School but soon discovered that he couldn’t answer many of the questions he was being a s k e d . He began to look for a school where he could get good Bible training and soon discovered Word of Life Bible Institute. At the age of 23, he attended the Bible Institute, where he met

After finishing his schooling at Grace Theological Seminarhye, came back to Word of Life to teach and has been here ever since. He now has four adul t chi l dren: Rachyl , Becky, Jeremy, and Susanna. The biggest influence in Dr. Wicks’ life has been books written by godly men, specificaly by Hal Lindsey, which he cites as a major reason why he came to the Bible Institute, and Competent to Counsel by J ay Adams. He also Great Planet Earth recalls two of his college professors, Dr. John Master and Dr. John Whitcomb, as having a large amount of influence in his life.
