One ministry opportunity offered to the Second Year students is Adirondack Club Ministry, or ACM as it is more commonly known. Every week, they work in a local church that uses the Word of Life Bible Club program as their youth group curriculum. They get first hand experience of being Word of Life Club leaders. Before the students even had a chance to meet the teens in their youth groups, they went through several hours of training on everything from running a Club to discipling small groups. There are also meetings and conferences they attend throughout the year that provide vital information on working with youth and issues facing them today.

Working alongside an IDP student, those in the ACM ministry run the Club each week. They lead games, music, share, and pray. One of the most exciting parts of being involved in a youth group is getting the opportunity to lead a small group. These small groups allow the students to personally get into the lives of three to six teens, to disciple them, to teach them, to keep them accountable and to help them grow. With ACM, the students get to do everything that is involved with being a Word of Life Club, from Superbowls to Teens Involved. Even with all the fun it entails, working in a youth group provides ministry training that cannot be learned in the classroom.
