Snow Camp One of the highlights of winter quarter is Snow Camp. Training starts the first night back from break, and the excitement does not stop for the next nine weeks. Every weekend almost 450 teenagers come for forty-four hours of camp run entirely by the Bible Institute students. Snow Camp is a major ministry opportunity. Whether you are working on the tube hill, in the kitchen, or as a counselor, you are impacting the lives of the kids that come. Every year hundreds of teens are saved or rededicate their lives to the Lord. Winter quarter is one of those things you love and hate. You often learn several characteristics about yourself that you do not like. Yet, you are able to see the Lord working in you and through you to accomplish your ministry. It is amazing to look around and see the entire campus join together to accomplish the enormous task of running Snow Camp. There truly is nothing like it. To see the students unify and come alongside each other is the example of servanthood that is needed to fulfill our purpose. Yes, it is exhausting and tiring trying to manage Snow Camp on top of a busy academic quarter; hut, the results in the end are well worth it. This year alone there were 293 salvation decisions and 429 teens who rededicated their lives, along with countless other choices that were made throughout the weekends. Not only do we get to see the lives of thousands of young people impacted, hut our own as well.
"This year, I’ve learned a lot about how God works in the lives of the campers and changes them, and in turn changes us as their counselors"
