Our team consisted of nine students who participated in the Missions Reality Open Air Evangelism outreach trip led by Sam Fry. For the first three days we went to Philadelphia where we teamed up with Tony Rizzo. There, we recruited teens in the local neighborhood for the upcoming youth rally and doing OAE in downtown and 69th Street, Philadelphia. The neighborhood we were working in was permeated with drugs, violence, and gangs. It was heart
and the power of His Word and Spirit to glorify Himself in our ministry. Along with this, we had a burden created in our hearts for the lost combined with an intense awareness of our responsibility as believers to bring the light of the glorious gospel of Christ to the unsaved. It was extremely rewarding to be used by the Lord in this ministry in which souls were redeemed for eternity as well as being trained and prepared for a lifetime of evangelizing the lost.

First, we learned a wrenching to see the children and teens needing Christ, meaning, and hope in their lives. The night of the rally came and seventy-five kids showed up, resulting in thirty professions of faith! From there we drove to Queens, where we stayed for the rest of the time. Later in the week we attended a “Leadership Rocks” Conference hosted by Idlewild Church. There was a table set up to promote the Local Church program offered to youth leaders where several contacts
go to Hudson, Florida with Jayme Deffenbaugh to Andy Anderson’s home. It was great getting to know Mr. Anderson and his family as we ministered to the local churches. We visited several pastors to present the Bible Club program or just learn about their ministry. Also, while in the area, we visited a few Bible Clubs. The kids seemed verv / enthusiastic and receptive to the Word. We set up a “FasCar” event where several children responded to the Gospel: “Christ died for our sins and rose from the dead!’
were made. It was an awesome experience to see ministers that reflected the testimonies found in Pushing the Limits, by Mike Calhoun and Mel Walker. Learning in real life settings beats the classroom environment any day! I am grateful that the Lord blessed me by putting me on this trip.
