When I first looked over the group that was going to South Africa, I laughed. We had absolutely nothing in common. I had no idea what God was going to do in us, but I was excited to find out. Our first two days were spent in a place called Thembalethu, an organization that reaches out to orphans and families impacted by the AIDS virus. We spent our time going to the local people and hosting a "FasCar" outreach to the children. From there, we went back to Johannesburg and got involved in many of the different ministries that John and Christie Page take part in. On one of the
first days, we had the opportunity to go into a local prison and witness to the inmates. We also took part in going to a House of Safety. There, children were placed who had been abused, orphaned, or just "problemed!1 These kids just wanted to be loved on, and not only did we get that opportunity, we also got to share Christ's love with them. Over the entire trip we witnessed to approximately 3,525 people and had 271 salvation decisions.
