Seeing the actor playing Jesus shake in pain and have his ublood 0 drip onto the ground at the foot of the cross imprints a picture into your mind that is not easily forgotten. Ninety students from Word of Life’s two campuses joined together to perform the story of our Lord's last week on earth. Whether the students or the audience were more impacted, is unsure, but this is known, no student walked away from the Passion Play unchanged. Mourners at the cross sobbed very real tears as the image of their Savior dying was played out in front of them. Mockers at the cross were also deeply affected as they screamed and waved their fists at the Lord. Even pretending to mock their Lord caused
many to break into tears backstage. There was an incredible attitude of prayer throughout die entire performance as die students realized the power of die history diey were displaying. The students and staff performed eighteen performances in eleven days, seeing 349 people come to know die Lord. Many collegians and support crewmembers were able to counsel many people following the invitation. The Gospel Productions and BI staff pray that the students will never be able to read die story of our Lord’s death, burial and resurrection the same again. The hundreds in the audience who came to the Lord were certainly worth the effort and all die pi actices. Rebecca Johnson
