Dynamic! Exciting! Challenging! These words describe tiie 4th annual Missions Conference at the Word of Life Bible Institute in Florida. The theme of i/Standing in the Gap0 became real to the students as missionary after missionary told of individuals who ustood in the gap0 to bring them to Christ and influence them for missions. Ron Bishop, the keynote speaker from SCORE International, shared his burden for missions and motivated each student to consider God’s plan for their lives. Many students were touched by the testimony of Nard Pugyao from Wycliffe/JARRS in the Philippines, who told of the way God brought to his people the Word of God in their uheart language.0 Carson Freemont from ABWE, Chris Mwalwa from Kenya, Herwig Lamb and Tanja Ladewig from Austria also gave stirring testimonies of God’s calling to use them for His work. The life of David in I Samuel was used by Harry Bollback to challenge each in attendance to obey and keep focused on the task at hand. Joe Jordan urged the students to uwholly follow the Lord0as did Joshua and Caleb, and not as Jonah. Carson Fremont pleaded with the FL student body to, uKeep your hearts tender before God.
