quarter to about 40 people on average during the Winter quarter. It has been awesome to witness Pastor Robbie’s faithfulness as he goes door-to-door almost every day of the week. It has been awesome going out with him on Saturdays, getting to know the community and serving in such a growing ministry. I have never understood the church planting proccess until now. God requires just one thing from us...FAITH! (I Cor. 5:7) Missions aren’t just overseas.” Jeff Bickford “When I moved up to WOLBI with my family, my ministry desire was to serve in a church where I could worship with my family and their school mates and community friends. Little did I realize how God would work in my life as I worked with the 22 kids at Schroon Lake Central School for the Released Time Program [a program of Religious Instruction taking time out of the school day once a week]. I had never worked with kids at these ages (6th grade and under), but God has given me a love for them, and we have seen salvations and comminnents to serve God in this ministry! Praise God for His direction!”
“Being from Maine (about as “Yankee” as you can get), I would n~ver have thought that I would be serving the Lord in a Southern Baptist Church at any time in my life! But I was proven wrong this year! Serving in New Hope Community Church has been such an amazing blessing. This church has only been in existence for less than a year. Pastor Robbie Lankford just planted the church last March, and the Lord been blessing this work ever since! We have seen this church grow from an average Sunday morning of 20 people in the Fall “This year I was at a local church in Johnstown and it was so awesome to see all that God has done. We were able to do the bus ministry, where we picked up from 7 to 10 kids on Friday night for youth night and also for the Sunday service. The First few times we picked the kids up they were hard and fooled around the whole way to church and home. As time went by, they began to sing songs and talk about what is going on in their lives. Three girls got saved after three weeks of picking them up. By the end of the year, die kids would run after the bus if we missed them, and the parents told us that they would rather have die kids in church than out fooling around. What a pleasure it has been to serve God here this year.” Ruthann Lee
