Word of Life Bible Institute Yearbook 2001

First Year churches, schools, and ministries across the country share their insights with the students in this way. Word of Life’s motto, “know, glow, show,” has its foundation in die academic program of the school. Students must first know what God’s Word says before they can begin to apply it to their lives and ministries. Although sitting in a classroom for four hours straight can become tiresome, most students agree that it is time well spent. The things students learn during diese classroom hours are carried over into die way they live the rest of their lives. As we learn to walk in truth, the first year academic program gives us specific instrucdons on how to walk as well as godly teachers who give us a path of footsteps to follow. Rachel Hosan

At 9:00 a.m. on a typical Tuesday morning, a WOLBI student’s academic week is about to begin. Having just completed an exam covering the previous week's class, 500 first year students squeeze into council hall for four hours of intense teaching and digging into God’s Word. The first year academic program at WOLBI is unique compared to any other school in the country. WOLBI students put aside die math, science, and history textbooks for a year, and focus on the best-selling book of all time, the Bible. For six hours each week, the students sit under the teaching of New York s two full-time professors, Dr. Tom Davis and Mr. Marshall Wicks, who teach Theology and Bible Survey. In addition, a guest lecturer spends 10 hours each week teaching a specific subject or book of the Bible in depth. Many godly men from
