Trivium Packaging Releases Sustainability Report Trivium Packaging released its annual Sustainabil- ity Report, showcasing the range of sustainability and community initiatives throughout the compa- ny’s global operations. Highlights from Trivium’s report: • Reducing carbon emissions from operations: In 2022, Trivium introduced various operational excel- lence programs aimed at reducing carbon and in- creasing the recycling of waste streams across their plants. These programs and others led to an overall reduction of carbon emissions by 7.3 percent, com- pared to 2021, against an original target of 4.2 per- cent and a larger target of a 15 percent reduction by 2025. In 2022, Trivium opened a new production facility in the Netherlands for Ausnutria products that runs on zero-emission energy sources like geo- thermal heating and green electricity. • Sustainable innovation: Trivium has received a Platinum rating from EcoVadis, a provider of busi- ness sustainability ratings, for the second year in a row. In 2022, Trivium conducted more than 60 customer innovation sessions globally, leading to . • Safe, engaged, and responsible workforce: Trivium recognizes that caring for the climate and people is a business imperative and that its stake- holders increasingly expect the company to make meaningful efforts toward positive climate and community action. Miraclon has launched UV Choice Printing, enabled by advanced plate surface patterning technology and specifically tailored to increase printing performance for label and other UV flexo printed narrow web ap- plications, according to the company. Available to KODAK FLEXCEL NX Technology us- ers, and supporting a range of substrates includ- ing foils, uncoated and coated labels, UV Choice Printing optimizes UV ink transfer and increases ink density by up to 15 percent, said the company. UV Choice Printing reportedly simplifies and de- creases press set-up times by up to 20 percent and reduces plate imaging time by up to 50 percent. Narrow-web printers and trade shops utilizing FL- EXCEL NX Technology can subscribe to UV Choice Printing through FLEXCEL NX Print Suite for Nar- row-Web, a fully integrated platform to optimize print performance features for the FLEXCEL NX System.
