VALENTINE’S DAV The moment everyone had been waiting for since the day they got to the Word of Life Bible Institute had finally arrived. It was the Valentine’s Day Banquet. Students were talking about this event for what seemed like years. Then the time came close. The intensity built. LOVE WAS IN THE AIR! Then many came to the realization that they didn’t have dates. Suddenly, all feeling of anx iety was lost. It became nothing more than a mere WOLBI supper to them. Oh well. want to spend an evening with the one you love, spend it with a friend. The music for the evening was ... well, let’s say it was different. Our very own class president shared a unique song. It was from the heart that Andrew Wilson sung himself a fool. We witnessed Mr. Brian Donley on his knee, singing a beau tiful, compassionate, song to his wife. Bert and Marion Britt sang a duet that touched the hearts of all couples in the audience, whether they were thinking of their dates, or their friend’s date.
Those who did have dates seemed to enjoy themselves much more. The decorations were beautiful. The food was outstanding! But the highlight of the evening for most, was the ice on the pavement. We all know that means ... P.C.!!! A lot of students went together as a group of friends. They signed a table up, and enjoyed their evening that way. Friends are very special here at WOLBI.
