Word of Life Bible Institute Yearbook 2000

Joe Jordan Executive Director

Much like a potter carefully molding a ump of clay into a finished work, God has een forming the life of Joe Jordan into omething beautiful. In 1961, Joe arrived as a camper on Word ofLife Island. One night, under the preaching of Jack Wyrtzen, Joe surrendered his life to the Lord, and at that moment, God began the process of making him complete. The decision Joe made that night was just the beginning. God now had to take him through the slow process of shaping and refining him through years of study in the Word. After graduating from Tennessee Temple University with a BA in Bible and Theology, Joe came on staffas a Word ofLife missionary. At that point, God called hi and his wife to Argentina, where they spent

twenty years serving. During that time, Joe was able to see the ministry grow rapidly. Today there is a Bible Institute with over 560 students, two Word ofLife camps, and many clubs scattered throughout the a nation! God was blessing there, and yet, He still was not done molding Joe. In 1990, Joe came back to the States and was given the office of Senior Vice-President of Ministries. Five years later he became the Director of Word ofLife Fellowship Interna tional. Last year, the torch was passed from George Theis toJoe Jordan, as Joe took over as Executive Director of the worldwide Word of Life ministries and President of the Bible Institute. In addition to this, Joe has been a guest lecturer in New York and Florida for the past several years. Truly, the Potter has turned a lump of clay into a treasured vessel. -Christine Ber wick ^ Pp* I,. a
