Word of Life Bible Institute Yearbook 2000

Snow Camp, one the most exciting events of the year. As the first week approached many were getting worried that this first weekend of Snow Camp was going to be a snowless one. For the first time this year Word of Life used a snow maker (to make snow). But by the third weekend there was over 17 inches of snow! Students were able to use the talents they had and develope new skills. The Saturday Seminar was “Integrity,” the thought of what to do when no one is watching. The Word of Life students worked as coun selors and had to prepare a 20 - 25 minute Sunday School lesson on Judges 7:1-8, the incredible story of how God

used Gideon to defeat an entire Midianite army with only 300 men, because he had great faith. The Main Event followed the opening rally and many outdoor games were played. Following the Main Event was the guys and girls Volleyball tournament. During the weekend evenings and afternoons, many activities went on, such as the Ice Chute, Tube Hill, Human Bobsled, Climbing Wall, and many others! After the weekend was over the campers were given a survey, and one of their favorite parts of the weekend was their Counselor! Every weekend, many de cisions and dedications were made for Christ and that was the most exciting part of snow camp. — BJ Speer

“Then the Lord said to Gideon, “By the three hundred men who lapped, I will save you. and deliver the Midianites into your hand. Let all the other people go, every man to his place.” Judges 7:8
