Word of Life Bible Institute Yearbook 2000

Prison What would you do for Jesus Christ? In a world of predominately apathetic Christians, these men went to jail for what they believe. After going through security checks and even briefings on how to handle hostage takeovers, they walked down the hallways of prisons escorted by guards. They met former hardened criminals, now repentant souls alive in Christ, who were hungry for God’s Word. They mingled with these inmates by hosting Bible studies, witnessing first hand the power of the Holy Spirit. From overcoming attitude problems to untangling

legal hassles, the men of the Prison Team saw God work through each circumstance for His glory. The result? They learned to diligently pray for wisdom, put their entire trust in God in the most difficult of situations, and rely on Him to mold their attitudes and actions to His own. But most importantly, they learned to appreciate so much more the glorious freedom that comes through salvation: the freedom from the prison of the power of sin. — Andrea Fisher

Preparing to go out on ministry always re quired much prayer, both as individuals and as a group.
