dom is passed on to a class of young men and women just starting out in life. The first year students have the privilege of sitting under Mr. Wicks and Dr. Davis throughout the school year for Bible Survey and The­ ology. In addition, many gifted men from pastors, to seminary professors, to evangelists come for a week as guest lecturers. They provide courses that give the stu­ dents a greater understanding of individual books, ex­ pounding and applying the truth to their lives. Through a rigorous, Christ-centered academic pro­ gram, the class of 2000 is “Becoming Complete in Christ.” - Christine Berwick

The focus of the first year academic program (as well as every other aspect of WOLBI life) is Jesus Christ. He is the central figure in the greatest book ever written: the Bible. The academic program seeks to bring students into a deeper appreciation for His Book. Through assignments such as map-making, writing outlines, and doing research papers, students are encouraged to get involved with God’s Word. These assignments, and the twenty hours per week spent in classes, play a key part in making the class of 2000 into vessels fit for the Savior’s use.
