Gene Chao Chief Growth Officer Amelia
Gene is the ‘executive-in-charge’ of the growth engine of Amelia.ai. This encompasses business/offerings structuring, commercial management, and Sales & Marketing. Prior to Amelia.ai, he was on the Executive Committee at the Unisys Corporation and led the global P&L’s for the Cloud & Applications Services and Cybersecurity units. This included responsibilities for business strategy & expansion, market/client advocacy, sales & marketing, thought leadership, and developing our Cloud Services ecosystem and engagement models. Gene previously held the Global Chairman position and executive oversight of the IBM Automation Innovation Unit focused on developing/building our Intelligent Workflow and Automation offerings. Additionally, he was the GTM leader for IBM Cloud Applications & Business Re-Engineering Services. Throughout his career, Gene has held general management, business growth, and executive leadership positions. His experience spans business and technology consulting, as well as managed/outsourcing services with leading companies such as CSC, Hewlett Packard, and Accenture. Additionally, he also has broad corporate finance experience as he began his career as a financial analyst with Shearson Lehman. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration & finance from the State University of New York-Buffalo, and has also completed Executive International Business Management coursework at the University of Pretoria-Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) in Johannesburg, South Africa. Gene is based in the New York City area with his wife, Renee and their 3 grown children.
