Our mission is to provide the Atlanta community with premier , accessible arts education , especially to the underserved , while promoting enjoyment of the arts at the historic and inspiring Callanwolde estate .

Recently , one of our veterans was featured in the AJC and she talked about the impact Callanwolde is having on her and her fellow veterans ’ lives :
“ I wish everyone that supports programs for veterans know that they really are saving our lives or saving us from becoming homeless because we ’ ll just wander out in the streets and give up ,” said Lawson . “ They ’ re saving us . Sometimes , we just want to have a purpose and go somewhere they care .” -- Rhonda Lawson Callanwolde Student In addition to veterans who live with PTSD , we now also provide programming for students who qualify for Title I and Title III assistance , adults and families who are transitioning out of homelessness , adults born with behavioral disorders , and low - income seniors .
