(B. th . ’39) and Mrs. Ke­ vorkian have entered the work of the Community Baptist Church of Boron, Calif., where Mr. Kevprkian has been called as pastor. Mrs. J. W. Rodman (Ethel Freberg, ’21), Ahwahnee Sanitarium, Ahwah- nee, Calif., writes of the joy of hearing Louis T. Talbot’s'nightly radio broad­ casts. Among other programs which have meant much to her while in the tuberculosis sanitorium was the Insti­ tute’s commencement program last spring. Before her illness, Mrs. Rod- man had served, with her husband, on the mission field in Venezuela, S. A. Otto H. Reese (B. Th. ’40), formerly pastor of the Lincoln Heights Baptist Church of Los Angeles, has accepted the pastorate of the Linda Vista Bap­ tist Church of San Diego, Calif. Richard P. Hjorth received his com­ mission as a Second Lieutenant in the U. S. Army Air Force on Sept. 29. Gene W. (B. Th. ’40) and Mrs. Fus- sell (Mary Ingram) are living at 2221 Workman St., Los Angeles, Calif. Mr. Fussell entered the pastorate of the Lincoln Heights Baptist C h u r c h on September 20. Leonard (’30) and Mrs. Eilers have moved to 18019 Mission Blvd., San Fer­ nando, Calif. Mr. Eilers was ordained to the gospel ministry on July 20 at the First Baptist Church of San Diego, Calif. In his evangelistic ministry he is known as “The Preachin’ Cowboy,” and since 1932 he has been “riding the range”' for God. Mr. Eilers has utilized in innumerable evangelistic

Brashler, '38, appeared in “Food for Thought," the little circular distrib­ uted to patrons at Clifton’s Cafeteria, where Mr. Brashler worked while at­ tending' the Institute. Mr. and Mrs. Brashler (Edythe L. C. McKee, ’37) are members of the Africa Inland Mission stationed at Adi, via Aba, C o n g o Beige, Africa. The letter read, in part: “To our amazement we saw a great herd of at least thirty buffalo. I had no gun—but did have a ringside seat, and when the dust had settled we had four big buffalo and one fine cajf— estimated at about one and a half tons of meat. After it was cut up, we had to engage eighty natives from a nearby village to carry it back to.the truck. There is no meat shortage in the Belgian Congo. We went out to
