hroughout the year at the Word of Life Bible Institute, students needed a break now and then from their usual
activities. Many events were planned to give them something to look forward to and also to challenge them. From the first weekend, filled with a Fun Day and Presidential Banquet, to the other events planned for the school year, students were presented various messages with a common theme. Though the world may despise them, Christ asks them to follow Him with out hesitation. It was shown once again how much fun one can have as a Christian and the true joy that only the Lord can give them was evident. There were several banquets, full of fellowship and good food as well as other activities. During the first quarter there were flag football games held every weekend and that tradition carried over into Snow Camp. Spirit Week, that gave everyone the freedom to come to class dressed for a certain theme, made for five exciting days as well. Through the fun, the Christian fel lowship, and meeting those older and wiser during the events, the students learned that giving themselves com pletely to Christ and dedicating their lives to His service will not make for a typical future but one full of promise and hope because their Lord is leading them one step at a time. This was the challenge of the Mission’s Conference, this is the challenge of life - to live out their Christianity, to bring forth fruit for His glory, to forsake all and follow Him!
