Although the early winter weather was frigid, hundreds of students, parents, and alumni began gathering outside the Fieldhouse almost an hour before the Thanksgiving Banquet was scheduled to begin. The day consisted of the annual Powder Puff and Turkey Bowl games, which made everyone have a hearty appetite. Although lunch boasted of a traditional Thanksgiving spread, this was different from any “normal” holiday meal for most of the guests. It is easy to forget all that God has blessed us with and many took the time to reflect on and praise God for the weeks and months before while enjoying the testimonies, songs, and special message presented during the program.
