With Local Church ministry leaving every weekend of the quarter, there was much opportunity for the students to invest their lives into the members of their perspective churches. They helped the churches in a variety of ways. Some taught children’s classes, some helped out in the teen classes, while still others participated in the main worship service and preached occasionally. One student, Aaron Kingsbury, had a ministry in his local church before he even enrolled at Word of Life as a student. He serves as the volunteer youth pastor at his church.
