“Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, I’ve got some great news that I would like to share with you.’’ This opening line is one that everyone who has ever been on Open Air Evangelism is well aquainted with. The goal of OAE is to evangelize the streets of New York City and the cities surrounding Hudson Florida. They use various attention getters including the rope trick and the sketch board so that people will take a few minutes out of their busy schedule to stop and listen and hopefully hear the whole gospel. Word of Life Open Air is composed of five different groups that go out at five different times during the fall and spring quarters. They stay at churches in the city and hold street meetings all day for about four days. Invariably on Friday the vans pull in from a long week of ministry and out step some very excited but very tired evangelists. OAE had the opportunity to harvest many souls for Christ this year.
