A group of people that sometimes our nation forgets about is the men who are behind bars in our many prisons. They are men serving time for a variety of crimes, locked up for varying amounts of time. Some are there for life, others are only awaiting there execution date. Whatever they are there for, there is one common factor that unites them all. They all have souls that are desperately in need of a saviour. The Word of Life Bible Institute Prison Ministry focuses on those forgotten men, letting them know that someone does care for them and loves them more than they could ever imagine. They hear about how the man Jesus Christ died for their sins though seemingly unforgivable. He’s waiting for them to come to Him. All that they need do is ask and they will be transferred from death unto life. The Prison Ministry also helps with a ministry to the convict’s children. The Angel Tree ministry provides there chil dren with Christmas presence, necessities, and a sense of hope.

BC: I believe the main focus of Prison Ministry is to reach inmates with the gospel and to encourage them to fellowship as in Hebrews 1 0 :2 5 . YB: Did your team set a goal to reach in the Ministry? BC: We didn’t set a goal but trusted God for the increase. YB: What do you feel is the spiritual condition or atmosphere of the prison that you go to? What do you all do to try to influence that?
