Speaker Biographies

Tania Corrie Ward Dell Technologies Director

Tania grew up in Portrush, Northern Ireland, graduating with a Computer Science and Accounting degree from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. She has come a long way from the days when she coded on her Spectrum 48K and thankfully, so has the industry. In her current role at Dell Technologies, Tania leads the Community Enablement and Customer Security team for product security. She partners with different functions to build secure technologies that drive human progress and loves Dell’s customer-first mindset. Tania’s contributions to SAFECode and FIRST include successfully publishing the Security Champion blog series and FIRST PSIRT Framework. Before joining Dell Technologies,

Tania worked at Microsoft, where she spent just over 14 years working on a multitude of different products, such as SQL Server, Windows Live, and Microsoft Office. She considers herself a responder at heart, whether volunteering as an Emergency Medical Technician for her local ambulance service or ski patrolling as part of the National Ski Patrol.

Gina Wheel Avanade Global Vendor Compliance Risk Lead

Gina Wheel is an IT Professional with over 20 years of combined experience in IT Sales Operations, Delivery Management, Governance Risk & Audit and Compliance. Leveraging her skills and experience, Gina is enthusiastic to help Avanade achieve its goals as she navigates the landscape of Third Party Supplier Risk. Gina endeavors to understand, and act upon industry trends as she supports initiatives within Governance, Risk and Compliance.

Gina enjoys mentoring and encouraging colleagues to bring their best each day. Passionate about serving others to make an impact, Gina volunteers and serves with the Avanade’s Employee Networks and the IT & IS Employee Council. Additionally, she serves in her local community with Delta Sigma Theta, Sorority, Inc. to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world.

Maddie Whitaker Accenture Security Consultant

Maddie is a Consultant within Accenture’s Cyber Defense organization. She has worked primarily in the financial services industry, assisting organizations with planning, recovering, and responding to enterprise-wide events and crises. Maddie has experience in cyber

resilience, business continuity, risk management, crisis management and incident response. She has helped clients with developing cyber resilience strategies that help drive the identification of risks within critical processes – supporting the development and enhancement of cyber impact analyses. Maddie also possesses specific resilience skills including; business continuity management system implementation, operational resilience training development, recovery plan maintenance and compliance, testing and exercising, and disaster recovery governance.
