NEW@TEW_SUMMER 2025 CAT(1)

We have some exciting new work in the gallery so now is a good time for a sneak peek into what is here, or about to arrive. Corky and I still miss Timothy every day, but the gallery has continued seamlessly so I’m sure Tim is enjoying the view from ‘on high.’ TEW is as always, a harmonious place where artists and clients with a classic contemporary focus can experiment, discover and thrive. Our artists have created standout new pieces for the 2025 show schedule. Haidee Becker and Hunt Slonem have just come off very successful shows. We have exciting new work by Cathy Hegman, America Martin, Charles Keiger, Helen DeRamus and Woody Patterson. Yasharel Manzy unveils new paintings with rich color and fluid forms reminiscent of 19C post-impressionists but firmly tailored to his own visual language. Richard Stevens, based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, has just shipped several new abstract works and two more richly colored and textured landscapes to the gallery. We are excited to be getting work from Andras Bality, whose plein-Aire paintings of nature and the urban landscape form a semi-abstract distillation of shape and color. Bality’s work embodies a deep understanding of the nuance of the natural world while imposing a singular vision in which he re-translates and refines his subjects into something simultaneously monumental and intimate. The works are also gentle, humorous and hopeful. We certainly need these qualities in our everyday lives. We’re equally proud and pleased to introduce Peter Burega, whose subtle landscape inspired abstract paintings are as rich in texture and surface interest as they are refined. Last, but not least, Shazia Fahim creates wonderful organically inspired collage works created by fine craftsmanship and a wonderful eye for composition, design and color. TEW will also be at The Atlanta Art Fair this year in support of our greater regional arts community. There will be some excellent galleries showing and it will be an opportunity to see some important work. We hope you’ll visit us at the fair and enjoy the experience of seeing Atlanta moving into a more significant sphere of influence in the art world. We hope to see you all soon. Jules and Corky
